<p>The Conservation Fund of Namibia (CCFN) is vital in supporting Namibia's Community-Based Natural Resource Management (CBNRM) efforts.</p><br/><p>Established to create sustainable funding mechanisms, the CCFN aims to transition global conservation efforts from donor dependence to self-sufficiency.</p><br/><p>Namibia's commitment to conservation is evident in its 86 community conservancies, covering 16 million hectares, including 4 million hectares for wildlife. These conservancies have led to the remarkable recovery of elephant, lion, and rhino.</p><br/><p>The CCFN's Landscape Stewardship Certificate project is an innovative initiative designed to secure long-term financing for Namibia's community-based conservation efforts. It supports the preservation of critical habitats, the recovery of endangered species, and empowers local communities. CCFN Landscape Stewardship Project

<p>Each certificate funds performance-based bonuses for local rhino rangers who patrol Namibia’s vast, unfenced community landscapes, home to the worlds largest free-roaming critically endangered black rhino herd.</p><br/><p>These rangers are scored on measurable conservation metrics such as sightings, diversity of individuals seen, distance walked, and days spent in the field. The incentives encourage consistent, high-quality patrol effort while directly supporting ranger livelihoods.</p><br/><p>Certificates are issued/minted only when verified data meets trusted thresholds. All information is traceable, auditable, and digitally secured via blockchain through the Wadappt platform, ensuring full transparency and accountability.</p><br/>

Namibian Black Rhino Guardianship Project

<p>Each certificate funds an anti-poaching ranger for a month. These rangers patrol and look after the largest free-roaming population of black rhino in the world.</p><br/><p>These rangers are from local communities.</p><br/><p>Rangers are scored on number of rhino sightings, diversity of individuals seen, distance covered on patrols, days in the field.</p><br/><p>These scores/incentives are driving positive patrol effort and as such ensuring the safety of these critically endangered species.</p><br/><p>Buyers of these certificates are assured that the data backing them is 100% trusted.</p>
